Marshall McGee interviews my colleagues Anton Woldhek and Pinar Temiz about the sound design in Horizon Zero Dawn. It’s a nice feature, because it talks in-depth about several aspects of the game, including some of the work i contributed to. Indeed, i did more than supervising the music, i also worked on interaction sounds (foley for Aloy and smart objects, for instance) and created most of the sound assets for the ambiences – including fully time-of-day and environment aware birds, winds and rain sounds. It’s great to see they were appreciated in the streams as well!
